Why Men Seeking To Beat Competition In Business Need To Dress Better?

Men who are seeking to excel in the business industry must be aware of the importance of dressing for success because that contributes in creating a positive working environment and it allows each man to be a step ahead of competitors. Managing a business is not a walk in the park due to the constant overload and the rise of digital technology platforms like Artificial Intelligence (AI) that actually does all the human labor in a fast way which can tempt some business organizations to use this platform as a medium to make more sales and expand its services and even get a larger market share.

This blog post will list and explain only 3 reasons why men must dress better than competitors in this fast paced changing business world that requires discipline to stay on top and put the company on the map.

Dressing the part through formal styles indicates that you are ready to conduct business in front of competition

Competition in the business world is very high due to the thousands of businesses out there both online and in physical locations. In each industry such as Finance, Events, Pharmacy, Marketing, Business and music as well as banking, there is a lot of fighting to get the best client every day. Banks are in competition themselves since we have many banks such as Standard Bank, First National Bank, Nedbank and other banks like forex trading systems that are just complicated to fathom to me.

Dressing formally as a man in the industry of finance is a great indication that you are keen to get ready as an Individual to take business away from your competitor. Other banks offer unique banking services and for the bank succeed, it needs men to dress like they are a unit.

A black suit according to me is absolutely a good choice for formal wear. This color signals seriousness, authority or power and focus without even speaking or saying a word. Hence, a lady by the name of Rachel was right when she quoted that “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak” because just by looking at the style, people have already made assumptions about you.

Dressing smart casual signals your ability to beat competition in a clever way (If you cannot be better than your competition at least dress better)

Did you know that it is easy to beat your competitor? The trick is to just dress better because people or business managers and investors are likely to do business with a man who looks trustworthy and dresses the part. Business men and even high profile Investors are not going to waste their money in hatching a plan with a man who dresses sloppy and one who drinks a lot. Businesses that perform better are those who have employees dressing sharp every day because one slight mistake can mean your business lose and the other business models similar to yours will win and get more profits.

Dressing fashionable in trends signal that men aim to get attention from the public (Getting all the credit is one way to beat competition)

Okay this point of dressing in fashion trends is difficult to manage or evaluate because each man has his own style. The truth is that fashion trends are very attention grabbing because these are pieces that are designed by Designers and some can reveal the skin. Imagine men who work in the banking sector, suddenly they all show up at work in sandals and latest fashion trends, people will think they are going on vacation and that can attract the attention of the media like Journalists who can write a story about such men. However, getting the attention from the crowd can have negative impact on men because fashion trends are not going to last thus men who wear this will not get all the credit all the time in the business field.

The business field is difficult to operate because of the competition but men who are resilient are capable of winning more business tenders and when they wear classic styles like suits they are one step closer to snatching more deals and getting the credit without resorting to wearing fashion trends.

Yes exactly John. In this digital years like the current 2024, first impressions matter because when you are invited to a job interview, the HR Team will first notice if you are dressed for the event and if you appear neat and professional in formal wear like fitted suits or a fitted formal or smart casual style, you easily raise points yourself.

Thank you very much Thobile for that exceptional comment. In the end, the way you dress opens doors for you and for men and even women, dressing formally does paint good things about you. For example, today, I attended an event about health particularly “African Health Volunteers Corps” – AVOH where I learnt about Public Health Emergency Operations Center- PHEOC and the module, a lady welcomed me and I was new there, so there is that😊.

Anyways, dressing well is very key and it can do wonders for you. For professional purposes, stick to solid colors like black my sister, you will be seen as a Competent Professional, trust me.

Leaving this comment from the consumer-side of things, we had to get an attorney for some estate planning and we ultimately went with estate planning attorney that presented themselves excellently. The attorney we didn’t choose didn’t dress poorly or anything, but the one we went with obviously took their appearance very seriously and in our eyes, we just felt we could trust him more. And we’re glad we chose him.
