5 Must Have Items For Men To Dress Professionally

Dressing professionally can be done without having a fallout or looking like a man with no class in your work environment. They say first impressions counts and I completely agree and in order to look like a man who is an expert in whatever field dress the part and you will be amazed at how other people think of you and they will treat you like a professional.

For the man who works in areas such as: Finance, Law, Events planning, Fashion, Media and IT and basically work that require mental power, these 5 items here will aid men to dress the part and make them focus at the task at hand.

1. Wear a watch with your work outfit

A watch is not just a jewellery but it is your relationship with time. Wearing a watch when going to work ensures that you like the man in charge.

2. Fold your scarf and wear it with your work outfit

A scarf is worn in case the weather gets twisted since it changes out of the blue, thus a scarf can be a lifesaver when it suddenly gets cold. There are many ways to fold a scarf and I will write about that in my future blog posts but the message here is that as long a the scarf is folded appropriately for work and I suggest colors such as white, black and blue as those are very professional colors.

3. Wear a sports jacket on top of your work outfit (OPTIONAL)

Okay this can happen in some situations but for the man who has a uniform with their name tags on, especially those in a Managerial role, this jacket is needed as it not only provides warmth but it is a professional jacket to wear at work(see cover photo)

4. A necktie is a necessity for men who are in management

Industries are very different so there are those whereby a tie is unwanted but for the industries listed above, a necktie distinguishes an employee and employer. Naturally we get to conclusions when we see a man in a tie we assume he is the Manager or the one in charge. To project a professional appearance you need to dress sharp in that work attire of yours. A white dress shirt with a tie in solid rich colors is the best way to look like a pro.

Also, the tie is needed if your day job involves making speeches, writing articles, being an Attorney , an Intern and even when attending those professional networking events that can lead to open doors as you will meet with other pros.

5. Iron, polish and take your clothes the night before
