Oscar Wilde once said “A well tied tie is the first serious step in life” and that is evident in the way people talk to a man stripped in a necktie and elegantly dressed, they tend to talk to him like he is important which stems from the fact that a necktie itself is a professional piece of cloth that enables you to look high status. Personally, I love neckties because they allow me to look the part and they project a professional authoritative figure. This blog post will take the cat out of the bag and describe two reasons why ties look professional and why men in commercial environments wear them especially those in management.
1. Neckties signal a man devoted in his responsibilities
Commercial departments are those that specialize in finances, accounts, transactions and real estates as well as business operations. Most of the men who work in the commercial sectors are always well dressed and the bosses wear tie to project a serious appearance and that outlook alone shows that a man wearing a tie is dedicated to his duties that will take him far in his career. Those in the commercial departments rarely dress tedious and sloppy, they are well dressed and they are professionals whose mindsets are fixated on the day to day business operations to keep the business running afloat and intact. Thus, a necktie is a must have especially men in the commercial sectors. Also, most of the sectors have a work uniform for men and that uniform must be well taken of and maintained.
2. Ties are formal leading to a credible professional with up to date statistics
Neckties are a formal apparel made from fabrics such as wool, silk and others. Wearing a tie even without a suit showcases a man with credibility. What do I mean by that? Well I mean a man who is trustworthy and his character and actions ensure people believe his word. The commercial department is a formal one by nature hence a man needs solid ties when conducting his duties such as customer visits , customers will trust a man wearing a necktie when selling or promoting company’s products because he looks the part and represents the company well when on the field.
A real estate agent when meeting a client eager to buy property doesn’t show up with jeans and hoodies because that is not the right uniform for business practices, employers may say the man looks unprofessional, thus, a man must dress the part with a solid necktie to appear credible in front of the client and persuade that client to buy the property on commercial sale. Therefore, ties in general are formal and the go to piece for looking the part of a credible and competent professional.
