Emulating your own style is the best strategy to take as a man

“Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are” ~ Marilyn Manroe

Marilyn Manroe once said “Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are” and the famous figure is indeed correct because when you emulate someone else and see yourself as that person does not allow you to be the true person that you are. In regards to men’s fashion and style , wanting to be Ralph Lauren the brand and that person does not do any favors for you.

1. Don’t be a duplicate be your own man with style

This is one way to emulate or gather inspiration from these role models we admire in the fashion scene out there and that is just style your own clothes and wear a style that suits your needs. For example, if you are a big guy physically , you can’t dress lime Justin Bieber in tight pants and shows since your body size rejects such clothing pieces. Rather dress for your body size and craft tour own style and others will admire you for that.

2. What works for others won’t work for you even in style

Yes like it or not people vary and we will never be the same. So, if you want to style your stunning suits and casual styles like Ultra Casual and smart casual you must know which style works for you. For example, let’s us use age as a factor, a 20 year old young man looks good in casual clothes because of his youthfulness whilst a 40 year old man in ultra casual or trendy styles doesn’t suit his age group except for classic and form styles because those date back ages ago ideal for the older man.

3. Happiness is the best strategy too since it reflects on your personal style

A certain blogger wrote about happiness and that unhappy people are more likely to make faults and indeed she is right as rain. To be your own man in selecting styles you need to be happy with the clothing you buy the way they fit you and people will compliment you once you start dressing for yourself , be it a suit, a certain shoe brand or accessory , always be happy with the clothes that you wear and have since fashion defines who you are based on the outfits you wear every single day.

Love this topic. What do you think about men who wear the same thing every day? More and more, I’ve been looking to build a capsule wardrobe, because I like being minimalist in my material possessions, and also cut down on the time spent pondering my outfit every day. Would need to have pretty strong knowledge in what I like, though.

Great comment Stuart. Thank You for reading and commenting. To answer your question, men who wear the same thing daily really need to start exploring other dress codes because it creates versatility and adds style to your outfit. I suggest mixing and matching both in casual wear and formal wear. Wearing the same thing is not ideal for the stylish man. Also, I once wrote a blog about “Style is like being the captain of your ship and a master of your own fate” , it should give you answers for how to be stylish. Also, wear a style that you love and go find inspiration from Instagram and Facebook as well as Pinterest and search for stylish menswear pieces you will find an outfit laid out for you that you will like✔👏
