How to dress simple yet presentable?

Going back to Cary Grant’s quote which says, “all it takes are a few simple outfits and that is the secret, the simpler the better”, this statement by this man here who was also into style and fashion reveals the type of men who prefer simple outfits every time they suit up. For a man who is not into suits style and fashion for instance, may actually wear that suit without any additional accessories such as a pocket square, lapel pin, chain detail or any other details on it, he may actually wear just a watch to accessorise but the mistake here it is wearing a suit anyhow that may make a man look style less. This blog will give examples and descriptions of how to dress simple yet presentable.

Stick to solid colors in your business casual style even with your jackets

Business casual style is a style that allows you to dress up yet casually, it means here you can wear a bit of casual items and combine them with a good blazer that can be worn formally so this is your sports jacket or blazer with no matching trousers. Just like the one from this gentleman below, a black sports jacket is just fine. If formal jackets are not your thing, wear denim jacket or a leather jacket. Going down to the trousers , wear solid pants in colors of white, grey, blue, red and light brown are just fine such trousers are usually chinos and linens trousers, with the shoes I advise that you wear only solid blue, black or brown even if it is a casual shoe such as sneakers, boots and dress shoes such as brogues are just perfect for thus business casual style. With the shirts, a solid white, blue, black, brown flannel or casual shirt is fine even a T-shirt is fine or a Henley are just fine for wearing them underneath the jacket. The goal of this style it is to make you on look presentable and on point hence the importance of wearing such solid colors from head to toe.

If neckties are not your style, don’t sweat it wear a dress shirt/polo shirt chino pants and your sharp point shoes/boots

I get it some of you guys just love wearing a simple dress shirt without a necktie of which sometimes I wear this especially when it is too hot but if you want to look presentable , do at least wear a dress shirt that has no patterns just a simple navy blue, light blue, white or black dress shirt is fine, it will work well with those chinos of yours or formal pants and if you love sharp point shoes in black color you can wear them at church or boots which I think will look so much better and make you look taller and presentable.

Always wear a belt

Even if you are not going to deliver a presentation in front of people, always wear a belt because it holds your trousers up, makes you look respected and most crucially presentable even if you are wearing casual style or formal style.
